Privacy policy

This policy sets out how personal data is processed on informercentral.com and for the Informer Central e-mail service.

1. Controller

Responsible under the GDPR for this website and the e-mail service:

2. The e-mail service

When you sign up for the e-mail service we process:

Purpose: sending e-mails with explainers, tips and offers on your subjects.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, i.e. your consent.

Address confirmation (double opt-in): following your sign-up we send one e-mail containing a confirmation link. Only after you click it will you receive our e-mails. This prevents third parties from signing up addresses that are not theirs.

Processor: Light House Traffic Inc. sends the e-mails and manages the recipient data for us. The processing is governed by a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.

How long we keep data: for as long as you use the e-mail service. If you unsubscribe, we erase your data, apart from the proof of your consent, which is stored in a blocked state.

Withdrawal of consent: you can withdraw your consent at any time for the future, using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each e-mail or by contacting the controller. This does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.

3. Log files

For each page request our web server automatically logs data such as IP address, date and time, the URL requested and the browser type. We process this data to keep the website secure and running, based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18), receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20) and object to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
